Strangely insane South African brother and sister duo – Adrian Chinery and Lori Bentley, started Howlingmad.co.za. We are both creative and completely nuts with a passion for ambushing our severely shell-shocked accountant. Fortunately, he has taken it all in good spirit and even planned an elaborately successful counter-attack on Adrian.
We have been known to have office wars with nerf guns when Eskom was having it’s famous summer of no power.
In addition, we have a more serious design and advertising side to the business, but a quirky way of looking at the world is an advantage in this industry.
We were both brought up with a healthy sense of giving back to the community and spent most of our childhoods involved in our mother’s pet charity – the “Save the Cheetah” Fund. So finding ways for a small business to give back to worthy causes has always been high on our list of priorities. We don’t have the cash flow to donate millions, but we have a vehicle that can allow a win/win relationship to develop between us and the causes we believe in.
Adrian enjoys paintball, enduro and taking the mickey out of everyone. Lori is a part time book illustrator, teen taxi and drama queen. We recycle, are surrounded by children, animals (both tame and wild) and enjoy a very good laugh almost every day.
BTW – Adrian sucks at writing, so Lori is the author of this blog.
